What is SEO and its types?


 Online visibility of a website or a webpage in the web search engine results depends on the SEO. SEO is an abbreviation for Search Engine Optimization. If any website is ranked higher in the web search engine's results means that the website is visited by more number of visitor's and later on these visitor's can be converted into customer's. Thus SEO is a tool to enhance the ranking of a website in web search engine's result page.
         There are 2 types of SEO: 1. On-Page SEO and 2. Off-Page SEO.

1. On-Page SEO:-

            It is used to advance individual website pages to higher rank and get more traffic in web search engine. Keywords or catchphrases plays important role in it, like meta tags, meta descriptions, page titles etc.

            It is a good practice that one should use thematic keywords or meta tags. Which means the keywords or meta tags used on your website should be related to the subject. You can also use your domain name or brand name with keywords. For example- if your brand name is Hostdens, instead of using keyword Best Web Hosting Company, you can use Hostdens Best Web Hosting Company.

2. Off-Page SEO:-

           It includes link building i.e. it alludes to all the exercises that guest's do from your site to raise the positioning of a page with on web crawler. We can also say that Off-Page SEO happens outside the website for example- if you write a guest post for another blog or leave a comment then it is Off-Page website promotion.

            If you want to improve your Off-Page SEO then you should link all your pages properly. You should give more emphasis on providing good quality pages and not good quantity pages so that more visitors will get tempted to visiting your site. In Off-Page SEO, the inner pages of your website or blog should be meaningful and well-structured and the links between pages should be distributed evenly. You can use keywords and meta tags wisely to link your pages.

SEO Techniques are broadly classified into 2 categories:

1. White Hat SEO and  2. Black Hat SEO

1. White Hat SEO:-

An SEO technique is considered as White Hat SEO technique if it is recommended by search engines as part of a good design.

Any SEO technique is considered as White Hat SEO if it has following features:

·        It follows search engine's guidelines.
·        It does not involve any deception.
·        It ensures that the content search engine ranks are the same content a user will see.
·        The contents are created for the users and not just for the search engines.
It also ensures good quality of the WebPages and the content on the web page is useful.

2. Black Hat SEO:-

An SEO Technique is considered as Black Hat SEO if search engines do not approve these techniques and attempt to minimize their effect. These are also known as spamdexing.

Any SEO technique is considered as Black Hat SEO if it has following features:

·        It involves any deception.
·        It redirects to a page that was different from the page the search engine ranked.
·        Keywords used are unrelated to website content. It is called as meta tag stuffing.
·        Creating a copy of a popular website which shows contents similar to the original website, called as page hijacking.
